High end loudspeakers on an order basis.
I have built loudspeaker sets on an orderly basis for about 10 years now. I prefer to use Berk plywood, but I also use high-density Medite MDF. The MDF can be painted in any RAL colour with any painted or padded baffle.
Below are several designs which I have built over the last five years. My latest designs are the New Cherlen and the New Inn. The designs are from Troels Gravesen, the Klang und Ton und Hobby Hifi. Last year, I started using ChatGPT to make my own designs. The result is the new Cherlen and Inn. ChatGPT is a great tool for designing your loudspeakers based on cabinet measurements and the specs of the drivers you're using. And it's also a teacher in learning loudspeaker design. But it is also listening and comparing them with each other. I am using a switch box to do an A-B comparison. In addition, I have started with a measurement system based on the REW software, a MiniSDP microphone and a Scarlett 4i4 audio interface.
Because of low overhead and not much marketing costs, pricing is competitive with production speakers of large audio companies like Dynaudio, Focal, PMC, Audio Physics and Monitor Audio.
New Cherlen
This is my latest design. The new Cherlen with an Accuton tweeter and a Morel midwoofer. They are really very good. I wanted to build a floor-standing loudspeaker that's compact and smaller than the CNO Grand and Ekta Grand. Most people find these designs too big for a normal living room. And I must agree, they are indeed pretty big. The new Cherlen is a good alternative.
To make the crossover even simpler, I have used a stepped baffle design, which you can see in many designs of Troels Gravesen over the last couple of years. I want to see how this is working in my design. I think really good.
Accuton Inn
This is my new design with the Mundorf AMT tweeter and an Accuton midwoofer. This loudspeaker has a huge soundstage and is clean, fast, and transparent. It is a small floor-standing loudspeaker built in 22 mm high-density Medite MDF. The footprint is only 18 cm wide and 25 cm deep, 1 metre high.
Why do I really love these loudspeakers? This is because of the soundstage. None of my loudspeakers can present an equal soundstage. It's really impressive with one remark. You have to sit in the driver's seat to get the real hot spot. Then, you get the pleasure of the concert hall or theatre. Placement of the instruments and voice is very precise.
I will provide more details on the construction of this loudspeaker. It is an easy-to-build loudspeaker, for a DIY loudspeaker, pretty costly, but you get rewarded for building it.

The CNO Grand is in birch plywood with a black MDF baffle. The new Scan-Speak Ekta Grand in white MDF has a new leather baffle on the left.

Wavecor Against all Odds
A very nice floorstanding loudspeaker based on Wavecor drivers. They have a slightly warm presentation. They pretty easy to build so a starting for building loudspeakers.
